1.
Cut the Dekoden Sheet to shape and cut holes for your camera and speaker.
Place the sheet on your cell phone/device.
2. Decide your design. Arrange the parts you prefer without using adhesive. (Take a picture if you don't want to forget it!)
Remove the deko parts from the phone/device.
3. Apply a thin line of adhesive on one edge of the cell phone/device.
(Use only enough glue for parts you can attach within one minute.)
Try to keep the line straight and steady for a more beautiful finished design.
4. Place the deko parts.
Repeat #3 and #4 until you have a completed outline around the phone/device.
5. When you finish the edge, you might have too much or too little
space left for the last piece.
Plan ahead and adjust the spacing. Using larger pieces on the four
corners is an option too.
If you want an outline around the camera/speaker or external LCD
screen, do it next, following the same procedure.
6. Leave the phone on a flat surface to dry before continuing, until
the outer edge parts don’t move.
(This is the trick for a nice finish.)
Depending on the amount of adhesive, this should take approximately 20 minutes.
7. Glue the main (large) parts. Let dry again. In the meantime, you
can review your design to plan how to place the small parts to fill
the gaps. To make a durable deko design, filling the space is very
important for the parts to support each other.
8. Once the glue on the large parts has dried, fill the gaps with
smaller deko parts. If you have trouble picking up or placing very
small parts, you can place a tiny amount of glue on a toothpick to
pick them up. Use a second toothpick to help place the parts.
9.You are finished. Enjoy your dekoden!
